How To Get An accredited Distance Bachelor Course.

September 5, 2009

For a long time now, the “traditional” institutions of higher learning have had unique approaches to teaching. They have also varied by size, student composition, and faculty specialties. Similar diversity is now found among institutions who offer accredited online bachelor degrees. The providers of virtual classrooms call themselves different things.

There are institutions that offer an accredited online bachelor degree program calls itself a university. An example is Liberty University and Kaplan University are online schools regarded as universities. Other institutions are called “institute”, like ITT Technical Institute.

ITT Technical Institute is one of several providers of online education that specialize in technical skills. De Vry is another one who also offers an accredited online bachelor degree. De Vry has two main divisions, one for students with residence in the United States, and one for students who live outside the USA.

ITT Technical Institute and ITT Tech Online have a long and distinguished history. They are known by many for providing technical courses to students who would prefer getting their education online or in local educational centers. Most of the time, this method is more convenient and faster rather than attending a four year college to enroll in a list of prescribed courses.

This institution is based in Indianapolis, Indiana where its administrative offices are also located. They have many campuses and internet based sites for the accredited online bachelor degree program.

ITT Tech, in fact is what you call a “hybrid” institution. They give students options to attend classes in person or take online classes. A lot of students want that for they are given chances to be involved in campus life.

ITT has student oriented clubs for people who are interested in technical areas like computers or radios. These can be great networking opportunities for the students in the future.

Do your research when you are looking into an accredited online bachelor degree program. It would be better to go to a known institution rather than an unknown school you stumble upon online. Be wary of the scams of unaccredited online schools. They will take your money, waste your time and effort that you will exert.

The federal Education Department is expected to release guidelines for implementing this new law in the months ahead so the new law can be made effective later this year or early 2010. They say the “devil is in the details,” but on the surface this provision of the new law seems to provide uncertain benefits combined with certain increases in costs for online universities – and ultimately their students.
